Water is essential for socioeconomic development. In Panama, concrete production, crucial for housing and infrastructure, requires water consumption. This policy brief presents the first water inventory of the sector, based on primary data from Panamanian companies. Consumption ranges from 189.9 to 641.8 L/m³, highlighting the need to optimize auxiliary processes and to standardize measuring and reporting. It is recommended to adopt the «Reduce Your Water Footprint» program for the disaggregated measurement of water quantity and quality to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of the sector.
