Editorial process

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the Editorial Board to assess their thematic relevance, originality, and compliance with ethical and methodological standards. Based on this preliminary evaluation, a decision is made on whether the manuscript will advance to the editorial process. Manuscripts that pass this stage are subjected to double-blind peer review, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation. This policy is strictly upheld, including cases in which authors are members of the editorial team. All manuscripts are reviewed by external experts selected by the handling editors, who provide critical appraisals prior to a final editorial decision.

Submissions to Medical Education & Clinical Practice must be original and unpublished, and must not have been previously submitted for review elsewhere. Editorials are commissioned by invitation from the Editor-in-Chief or the Editorial Director. However, authors interested in contributing an editorial may submit a proposal via email (mecp@cientifica.edu.pe). Proposals deemed appropriate by the editorial team may be forwarded for peer review.

All submitted documents undergo a similarity check to ensure the originality of the content.
