Epistemología aplicada, infoxicación y fake news: inteligencia artificial, confianza pública y democracia

La era digital ha transformado la dinámica del conocimiento al democratizar la información, pero también al incrementar riesgos de sobrecarga informativa, desinformación y noticias falsas. Estos fenómenos afectan la confiabilidad científica y la autonomía crítica de la ciudadanía, especialmente ante el rol ambivalente de la inteligencia artificial, capaz de generar y detectar desinformación. El objetivo de este ensayo es examinar los principales retos epistemológicos de la sociedad digital mediante una revisión crítica de literatura clásica y contemporánea. La metodología consistió en un análisis teórico y reflexivo sustentado en fuentes académicas indexadas. Los resultados identifican la crisis de la verdad, la saturación informativa y los dilemas éticos y tecnológicos de la inteligencia artificial. Como conclusión, se subraya la necesidad de una epistemología aplicada que integre herramientas como CRAV/CRAAP y que, además, resalte la alfabetización digital y mediática como estrategias fundamentales para recuperar la confianza pública, salvaguardar el conocimiento científico y fomentar una ciudadanía crítica.
