Desafíos de la gobernanza del agua en América Latina
una perspectiva biopolítica

A pesar de los abundantes recursos hídricos en América Latina, persisten graves disparidades en la distribución y el acceso, lo que hace necesario un examen exhaustivo de las prácticas de gobernanza del agua. En este sentido, el objetivo principal de este documento es analizar críticamente los retos y complejidades de la gobernanza del agua en América Latina a través de la perspectiva biopolítica. El análisis revela que la gobernanza del agua está profundamente influida por las desigualdades históricas, las políticas neoliberales y las estructuras de poder sociopolíticas. Se concluye que una gobernanza eficaz del agua requiere un enfoque global e integrado que aborde las dimensiones biopolíticas de la gestión de los recursos, lo cual plantea la necesidad de una coordinación centralizada, capacidades subnacionales y la priorización de las poblaciones vulnerables para lograr una gobernanza del agua sostenible y equitativa.
