Abstract

The teaching of traditional dentistry, in all its specialties, has always been based on the transfer of knowledge in person, that is, a tutor teaches how to perform the procedure and the student repeats what is indicated. Similarly, over the years, diagnosis has been taught based on signs and symptoms identified in person, that is, with the patient in front of the clinicians. However, since 1998, there has been a tendency to simulate this learning process.
